I’ll Give You Wisdom

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God,

who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

James 1:5 NIV

The Lord said  “I’ll give you wisdom, knowledge and understanding will come later.”

Wisdom can be acted upon without knowledge or understanding which is the essence of following. When a person is told what to do they do not have to think, reason or judge. Just simply acting upon the instructions, yielding to the one directing. The Lord is saying this is how he will lead us.

Unique to Each

The beauty in this is that the instructions will be simple and fitting for the hearer, and there can be no credit taken. Safeguarding the hearer from pride and arrogance the Lord can build up the disciple developing trust and confidence. As the disciple gains confidence the Lord can challenge the resistant tendencies within the disciple identifying areas where “self direction” needs to be dealt with. The Lord who loves the disciple always deals uniquely with each person, those who actively engage tend to develop quickly.

Intentionally engaged 

In the body we encourage one another to “put yourself in the place of demand” meaning to be attentive and engaged ready for the Lord to use your gift. Be focused on him and follow the flow of the gathering, watching love at work among those attending. The way the Lord builds the body and individuals simultaneously with the flow of his wisdom is a delight to behold.

Knowledge and Understanding Secondary

The need for knowledge and understanding becomes secondary as gatherings are effective and fulfilling. Knowledge is no longer needed to function as yielding becomes grounded in God’s love.Understanding is always in development and never required to function . you function by relationship , yielding to the Father which allows you to function outside the realm of reason. This freedom and expectation that God will give the wisdom to act upon builds within each uniquely and in the body cooperatively.

Everything you do within the body is to facilitate the direct connection of men to God

To most to believe is to acquire knowledge and understanding to form the belief.

In the kingdom it is to hear and give priority to the Lord's voice, living by the mind of Christ, the faith of the Son of God.

Wisdom is yours for the asking.
